At Cosaic, we are pioneering the future of food-tech. Backed by top-tier investors, we are currently in our pre-Series A fundraising phase, with ambitious plans to scale globally and expand into the US market.
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Head of US Business Development to drive revenue growth and establish a strong market presence in the US. This role goes beyond strategy - you will be hands-on in developing innovative sales strategies for our B2B ingredient portfolio, leading key account management, and negotiating offtake agreements. As we scale, you will build a high-performing sales team and refine our product-market fit to support our Go-To-Market launch in H2 2026.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth strategy – Lay the foundation for a successful Go-To-Market launch and finalize offtake agreements in the US by H2 2026.
- Build and nurture key relationships – Strengthen existing partnerships while expanding networks within major food manufacturers and industry leaders.
- Represent Cosaic – Attend industry events, trade shows, and partner meetings while staying ahead of market trends.
- Drive B2B sales and partnerships – Shape our B2B commercial strategy, negotiate contracts and JDAs, and establish strategic alliances.
- Lead and scale US sales operations – Build and manage a high-performing US-based commercial team.
- Travel flexibility – Willingness to travel frequently to the US, with approximately 30-40% of time spent at our offices in Horgen, Switzerland.
Who You Are
- Experienced Business Leader – 8+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, and B2B sales, ideally within US food tech market and the plant-based food industry.
- Deal-Maker – Proven track record in closing high-value deals and securing strategic partnerships.
- Scale-Up Specialist – Strong understanding of US food industry trends and market entry strategies, with experience building sales operations from scratch.
- Entrepreneurial and adaptable – Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, takes initiative, and drives execution.
- Hands-On Executor – Not just a strategist, but someone who drives execution, takes ownership, and delivers results without relying on others.
- Excellent Communicator – Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and storytelling skills.
